Deena M Sanders,

Deena Sanders is a Biological Scientist III at the University of Florida, College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Powell Gene Therapy Center, and works in the Vector Core Lab packaging and purifying viral vectors. Her other responsibilities are generating quotes and invoices and ensuring that AAV preps are sent to clients in a timely manner. Deena came to UF in 2000 and has been working with rAAV vectors for over 20 years. Graduating in 1996, with a BS in Microbiology & Cell Science, Deena stayed in Gainesville, FL and has made it her home ever since. Prior to working in Vector Core, Deena had a career in the health field as a Pharmacy Tech for 17 years at a public pharmacy and worked with nursing homes, making unit-dose medications. She also worked as a Billing Associate at Shands Home Health Care for a few years.
